The home`s main bedroom is the perfect place for our client to unwind. The large windows allow for natural light, which complements the room`s bright and calming atmosphere, while the luxury of having an ensuite and seating area only adds to our clients perfect place to relax.
This child`s bedroom combines creativity and freedom with a stunning built-in wardrobe, which allows the child to enjoy their room without sacrificing space. The wardrobe is fitted with sensors that trigger LED light strips lighting up the room, providing help when picking what to wear for the day ahead.
It was an important request that our clients` family and friends would feel comfortable when staying over, keeping that relaxed atmosphere you find in your own home.
Our goal was to create a seamless flow between each room, ensuring a cohesive and inviting environment for anyone who entered. By keeping our consistency in design and ambiance, we were able to provide a sense of harmony and comfort throughout the rest of the home.
Designed and made by us, our solid oak handcrafted kitchen table and chairs finished in Rubio Monocoat Oak round off our clients’ new kitchen. With notes of grey and natural elements throughout the entire space, it provides that homely and relaxing atmosphere our client wished for in a room many associate as a crowded and congested area of the home.
We believe a kitchen requires freedom and creativity in order to be loved; our built-in cupboards are neatly arranged and provide the space our clients desire, whilst also avoiding the clients nightmare of being in an enclosed area. This design utilises the large open space but avoids making the room feel too big.
The addition of an island not only closes the space of a large room but also utilises the clients need of entertaining friends and family in close proximity. The built-in appliances feature a luxury wine fridge, which complements the client’s idea of having friends and family close by to be entertained.
Everyone loves inviting friends and family over, but how can we entertain and cook in different rooms at the same time? Combining convenience and creativity, our traditional hand-painted beaded frames, oak veneered plywood carcass, and solid oak drawers provide our clients with the creativity they need to cook delicious meals whilst entertaining their guests on our solid oak kitchen table and stools.
Our client wanted a fully fitted glazed dressing room that would match and utilise the warm tones of the oak and brass details. This ‘L-Shaped’ dressing room featured equal lengths, allowing us to tailor both sides for the husband and wife. This design also features a subtle door that leads to the clients` ensuite. Rounding off the dressing room with a marble-topped island was the perfect addition to incorporate the additional space requested by the client.
This customer placed a high value on maintaining a light-filled, roomy space. The open skylight on the roof served as the focal point of the kitchen`s design. Utilising this light and reflecting it across the kitchen was our goal.
Our handcrafted wardrobes include LED light strips with integrated sensors to turn on when opened, giving their contents the genuine shine to brighten their outfits. They were crafted with the space in mind, hidden away, and integrated into the surrounding light area to create an uncluttered yet organised feel in the bedroom. We also crafted the bathrooms to utilise the space and provide plenty of storage for all essentials to make those early mornings easier and more enjoyable.
The installation of a bench for the cloak area in the hallway transforms an unused space into a useful area for coats, bags, and shoes and getting ready for the day ahead.
A couple of photos of a recent project in Amsterdam. Fitted wardrobes, a window seat incorporating two chest of drawers and two elegant bedside tables. The overall look is one of comfort, luxury and calm. Perfect for a master bedroom.
We enjoy working with clients to meet their specific needs, whether this be for fitted furniture or free standing bespoke pieces. Our clients are involved at every step of the way to ensure that we understand their vision and exceed their expectations. We love it when the client wants to visit our workshop in Suffolk to see their furniture being made. It is one of the reasons that we are very proud to be able to use the official trademark for British manufacturing.
It’s been fascinating rummaging around in our archives recently. The books on furniture are inspirational and the beautiful illustrations are crying out to be framed. We will keep them intact though for future reference. We are very proud of our heritage, even if it doesn’t go quite as far back as the earliest book we found, printed in 1665!

Just a selection of some tables that have recently been created in our workshop in Suffolk.
We love to work with every client to create a beautiful heirloom that is unique to them and their family. A table represents so much in a home and it is heartwarming that people still value the traditional skills required to make such pieces. It’s an honour and a privilege to know that the Titchmarsh and Goodwin table will be a centrepiece for feasts and family gatherings for many years to come!
We have been a bit quiet recently as have been enjoying some R&R with the family before everyone goes back to school. Back hard at work now though, and what better way to start the week by celebrating one of our most talented cabinet maker’s 50th year working at Titchmarsh and Goodwin! Alan started work at T&G on the 27th August 1974 aged 16, and has stayed with the company ever since. His skills as a master cabinet maker are second to none, and we are truly grateful to him, and our other experienced members of staff, for their passion in passing on knowledge to the younger generation of craftsmen and women. It’s an absolute pleasure working with Alan and the rest of the team at T&G!
