We were delighted to see our Conservatory Table – designed for the Dowager Duchess of Bedford – taking a prominent role at the Hampton Court Flower Show (on until Sunday 10th July). The Silver Medal winning Katie’s Garden is a cutting garden full of fabulous ideas for flowers to grow for cutting and arranging. In raised beds, the space which was designed by Noemi Mercurelli and Carolyn Dunster, is a glorious confection of dahlias, fountain grass, woodland sage, echinacea and Mexican daisies among many other beautiful plants and flowers.
At the front a water feature and at the back our table, with cut flowers in vases, secateurs, terracotta pots and assorted balls of gardener’s string, wonderfully styled.
Katie’s Garden was set up in support of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity to celebrate the life of Katie Wohlrab Oliver (1966-2001) and raise the profile of Katie’s Lymphoedema Fund. Growing, cutting and arranging flowers brought great pleasure to Katie during her relatively short life. Here are some close ups of the planting:
And here are a few pictures from the Floral Pavilion at Hampton Court.
The Hampton Court Flower Show is on until Sunday July 10th. STOP PRESS – Katie’s Garden won the People’s Choice Award for best Summer/City Garden at Hampton Court. Click here to see more pictures of it.
